How Snapchat makes your brand relevant (again), my key takeaways from the Brand Session

Snap took us through what works today and most importantly, how you can move with it as a brand in an environment where creativity, fun and genuine connection are central. My main takeaways:

1. AR isn't a gimmick anymore, it's the way to get in

Snapchat made one thing very clear: AR has grown up. Brands that use AR Lenses smartly land literally in the friend-to-friend chat. Not as an ad break, but as a fun add-on users choose themselves. And that's the difference between 'pushing' and becoming part of the conversation.

2. Creators bring real connection

What I find strong about Snapchat creators: they feel unfiltered, close and authentic. That makes them incredibly valuable for brands that don't just want to broadcast but really want to connect with their audience. Let creators work in their own language – that's where the credibility sits.

3. Takeovers claim moments that matter

For brands looking for visibility at key moments, takeovers remain a powerful tool. By being present when your audience is too, you create impact that goes beyond reach alone.

4. Organic is growing fast (and that creates opportunities)

What became clear: organic reach on Snapchat is growing faster than many brands realise. The barrier is low, the engagement high, and there's still plenty of room to stand out. An interesting playground for anyone willing to think ahead.

5. Starting on Snapchat is easier than you think

There's an opportunity for brands that want to start building visibility, community and creative expression now, but how you approach that smartly depends on the brand and strategy.

What I'm taking away

For me, this session mostly confirmed how important it is to understand the platforms where your audience really lives. Snapchat feels like a world of its own; playful, direct, creative and that's exactly what makes it so interesting.
